基于自成像效应七平行光子晶体单模波导分束器

在完整的二维光子晶体中引入线缺陷,就形成了光子晶体波导。将七光子晶体单模波导的相互耦合看成一个多模干涉系统。在多模干涉系统中,本征模的色散曲线相交并出现简并模,简并模之间存在强烈耦合并导致模式的分布方式重新发生变化。本文基于自成像效应的波导多模偶合,提出了一种二维光子晶体波导四端口分束器。采用时域有限差分法和平面波法作为研究工具,TE模为研究对象,从理论上分析了这种器件的特性。结果表明,通过调节介质柱半径R,来改变耦合区电磁场的相位分布,从而控制四个输出端口的能量分布。

In the multimode interference system,disperse curve of latent mode intersect and appear single-combination mode,it exist intensity coupling among single-combination mode and the distributing of lead mode happen change.In this letter,a 4-port two-dimensional photonic crystals splitter is proposed on the basis of multimode interference effect and self-imaging principle.The optical properties of the 4-port coupler device have been demonstrated for TM polarization by FDTD and PCW method.Results show that propagation direction of the output optical power in each output port of the device can be tuned by reducing the radii of the medium in the photonic crystals.
