| Abstract: | The pipeline of West-East Natural Gas Transportation Project passes through desert land several times. Based on characteristics of sand wave hypsography, active sand dune mobility, lower shear strength and poorer coherence and so on in desert land, relevant machines and tools were used and proper methods were carried out. And therefore some problems such as pipe channel trenching, pipeline operation, sand-defense, and sand-solidification etc were solved effectively. The article introduced in details the technologies of pipeline construction in desert land, measures of sand-defense and sand-solidification, as well as attention items should be paid when pipeline in construction. |
