| Abstract: | The design of the forging die for the cutting picks and pick pedestals of the coal excavator was introduced. The factors affecting the life of the forging die in use were stated, including selection of the parting line, the draft, the radius of the radiuses of the circular bead and the flash slot. In the meantime, the die assembly, die preheating, forging procedures, forging pace and repair of the forging die must be considered as well. |
