英语专业西方文化概论课程文化对比教学研究

如何用浅显的语言、生动形象的方式在《西方文化概论》教学中让英语专业学生对西方文化发展产生兴趣、喜爱文化学习并进而引发他们主动思考。教师通过运用文化对比教学理论,将中国历史文化和西方历史发展过程相应的内容进行对比可以激发学生学习的兴趣、培养他们主动积极思考的能力并提高他们对西方文化内涵的理解和对异域文化的包容性。文化对比教学理论适合向英语作为第二语言的文化课程教学推广。

A research of cultural comparisons in teaching the outline of western culture to English majors

The thesis discusses how to teach the Outline of Western Culture in an interesting way so that students can develop both cultural appreciation and creative thinking.By comparing correlative information in both the Chinese culture and the western culture,students' interests can be greatly enhanced in their cultural studies.Then their critical thinking ability and receptivity to foreign cultures can be increasingly fostered as well.Therefore,the cultural comparison theories can be introduced to other cultural courses in ESL class.
