Abstract:In many cases of fault characterization,coherent cubes are often used to describe the faults,but to a certain extent,the identification of faults by coherence cubes is not precise enough.Therefore,this paper proposes the automatic fault extraction technology(AFE)based on the frequency-divided coherent data of structure oriented filtering,and improves the technical process of fault identification for specific survey.Firstly,on the basis of the full spectral-band seismic data,multiple frequency-divided data volumes are generated by using spectrum decomposition technology,and then the frequency-divided data volumes are subjected to structure-oriented filtering.After that,a high-precision coherence algorithm is adopted to obtain the corresponding frequency-divided coherence volume for each frequency-divided data volume.By comparing the selection of coherent data of different frequency divisions,the dominant frequency band that characterizes the fault zone in the survey is determined,and the band-pass filtering technology is used to remove other frequency components in full band seismic data.Finally,a coherent data is recalculated on the data of the band-pass filtered seismic data,and the AFE attributes are calculated based the coherent data.Compared with the conventional coherence cube technique,this technique is more precise and accurate in the characterization of fault zones in actual seismic data,and is more consistent with the geological knowledge and actual drilling exploration results.
