| Abstract: | This paper first describes the author's vivid impression of The Berlin Philharmonie. Then it focuses on the foyer of the building to explain how Scharoun created such a wonderful architectural space. The space is very deep, zigzag and quite diffident form traditional ones. And it always changes when you walk inside the building. To the author, one of the most remarkable characters of Scharoun's design is the inherent strength of the space. |
