| Abstract: | The classification and mechanism of electrode material transfer were described and the relationship between contact erosion and arcing energy were presented. A new sputtering model was introduced to estimate how the current and material affect the erosion volume. The erosion measuring techniques which include stylus and interferometry were also compared. |
