| Abstract: | The related influence factors about cutting path are studied, and the rule knowledge of wire holes selection, starting cutting point of profile and cutting direction planning are derived. Base on this, a method of cutting path planning in the wire electrical discharge machining（WEDM） by rule-based reasoning is presented. |
