Study of Production Technology of Granulation of Compound Fertilizers Without Drying

The drying unit is omitted in the original production technology of compound fertilizers by granulation, so as to reduce energy consumption and environmental pollution. The implementation granulation without drying of high-analysis compound fertilizers requires that the material at the outlet of the granulator contains 0.8 % - 1.5 % mass fraction of water, and the granulated material is at a temperature of 75 - 85 ℃. The relatively practical and economic method is to use directly the hightemperature concentrated urea solution from the urea unit and then heat some of the feedstock to a certain temperature according to the circumstances. With the adoption of the technology without drying, the recycle ratio is less by 20% - 30% （product quantity） than that of the traditional granulation process, the product is more round and smooth in appearance, the economic and social benefit is very remarkable, and the technology is especially appropriate for the renovation of old production unit.
