According to the problem of the engineering claim of the engineering practice,the paper describes the conception of the claim and the valid period of claim,discusses the importance and the necessity of the valid period of claim,points out that it is the key to grasp accurately the valid period of claim,which determines the success of the claim,and analyzes the calculation of the valid period of claim,and proves the basis to reasonably solve the engineering claim.
