Determining Steady-State Characteristics of Some Queuing Systems with Erlangian Distributions

Abstract:This article proposes a method to study M / E s / 1 / m, E r E s /1 / m, and E r / M / n / m queuing systems including the case when m = ∞. Recurrence relations are obtained to compute the stationary distribution of the number of customers in a system and its steady-state characteristics. The developed algorithms are tested on examples using simulation models constructed with the help of the GPSS World tools.
