摘    要:报道了一种聚丙烯腈(PAN)的改性方法,即在惰性气体保护下,对PAN的二甲基亚砜(DMSO)溶液进行热处理。红外光谱和紫外-可见光谱测试结果表明,热处理可以引发PAN的环化。同未处理样品相比,处理过的PAN在预氧化过程中释放出更少的热量,热稳定性也有了明显的提升,更适合用于碳纤维的制造。

Abstract:A novel method to modify polyacrylonitrile(PAN) was reported. In this method, PAN was heat treated in DMSO solution under inert gas. A variety of tests were employed to characterize the samples. The heat treatment could induce cyclization in the samples, as reflected by the results of Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and UV-vis spectra, compared with the untreated fiber, the treated PAN could release less heat during heating and its thermal stability was enhanced greatly.
