| Abstract: | In this paper, the research and development of heat-resistant plastic opticalfiber in the foreign countries is reported. The requirements of polymeric materials forheat-resistant plastic optical fiber is discussed. Three methods for the preparation ofheat-resistant plastic optical fiber is presented which include method of protecting-layer, method of liquid-cleaning and method of selecting the core and cladding that have highglass transition temperature. |
