| Abstract: | Machine tool industry in China is developing rapidly recent years. Not only the automation percentage in this industry is increasing,but the total amount in automation.Now China has entered WTO. It is obvious that Chinese machine tool industry has to upgrade the capability and productivity to face an even tougher competition in the open market. How long the advantage of low labor cost lasts is just a matter of time. Since HIWIN has a very close relationship with machine tool industries in German, Switzerlnd, Japan, America and Italy, as a chairman of HIWIN, I would like to present my viewpoint on the current situation in four ways. i. e. (1) The characteristics of key parts and components. (2) Specialized manufacturing from HIWIN'S viewpoint. (3) Key parts and components vs machine tool industry. (4) Suggestions to machine tool industry. Hopefully it might be helpful to Chinese machine tool industy. |
