L波段3kW固态功率放大组件

摘    要:设计了一种工作在L波段,带宽为100MHz,占空比为8%,脉冲宽度为100μs的3kW固态功率放大组件。组件采用两级放大,末级采用低插损的Wilkinson合成器合并4个850W高功率放大模块。通过优化匹配电路设计、合理选择储能电容和优化电路热设计,改善了组件增益平坦度和脉冲顶降,提高了组件热可靠性。测试结果表明,该功放在工作频率范围内输出功率>3kW,效率>30%,增益平坦度为0.3dB,脉冲顶降<0.8dB。

Abstract:This paper describes the design and fabrication of a 3 kW solid state power amplifier which operating over L-band at a duty of 8 percent and with a pulse width of 100 μs,bandwidth of 100 MHz for radar application.The module configures a series of 2-stage cascaded power amplifiers.Low loss Wilkinson combiners are used to combine output powers of four 850 W high power amplifiers in the last stage.And by optimizing matching circuits,choosing energy storage capacitors reasonably and optimizing the thermal design to improve the gain flatness and amplitude droop,and increase the thermal reliability.Tests show output power of more than 3 kW corresponding to PAE of higher than 30%,amplitude droop of less than 0.8 dB,gain flatness of 0.3dB over the band.
