Effect of Powder Parameters on Grain Growth in Manganese-Zinc Ferrite

Abstract:The effect of calcination and ball milling on the grain growth in Mn-Zn ferrite is presented. Rates of grain growth and the effect of ball milling on the growth behavior were observed for ferrite powders calcined above and below the recrystallization temperature. It is shown that in addition to particle size and distribution, calcination temperature was a critical factor responsible for the growth behavior of ferrite.
