Abstract:An analysis was made on the failure forms and causes of the liner (steel 10) of the central_casting_pipe forming die for refractory bricks. The possibility of using rare earth Mg ductile iron to take the place of steel 10 was expounded and proved. Production practice shows that the lifetime of the rare earth Mg ductile iron liner is 1.6 times of that of steel 10. And using the rare earth Mg ductile iron liner could lower the cost and save resources.
