Children's Aesthetic Preference Based on Different Book Illustration Styles

Illustration as an art form with a long history,is not only one of the earliest ways for children to contact the world,but also an important way to cultivate children's aesthetic perception.In order to explore the current children's book market illustration style preference,this paper takes the children under 18 years old as the sample,takes the sample's age,gender,illustration different painting styles and painting contents as independent variables,and takes the sample's aesthetic preference as the dependent variable,and carries out two groups of three factor mixed experiments.In order to understand the children's aesthetic preference characteristics of different painting styles and painting contents in children's books,as well as the differences in gender and age,finally,based on the above research,the overall design strategy of illustration style for children's books is proposed.The results show that children prefer texture illustration in painting style,and prefer Q-type illustration in painting content,and there are significant differences in different age stages,which provides a quantitative theoretical basis for the design practice of illustration style in children's books.
