Abstract:The formation of the jet is related to the penetrating damage effect on the target. Amorphous alloy materials have unique mechanical properties which are different from metal materials. And the jet shape formed in the shaped charge is very special,which can increase the aperture diameter while ensuring a certain penetration depth. Through the combination of numerical simulation and experimental verification,the study of the jet forming characteristics of Zr-based amorphous alloy liner was carried out. There are obvious differences through comparing and analyzing the jets formed by Zr-based amorphous alloy and Cu. This is because the tiny plasticity of amorphous alloy materials at high strain rates is not considered. After the elastic compression stage,due to the extremely high yield strength of Zr-based amorphous alloy materials and almost no plasticity,the liner is broken,and a large number of particles with uneven quality are formed. They are shown as density distribution in the simulation,and converge to the axial direction to form a particle flow. Due to the unequal mass of the particles,when the collision converges,the small-mass particles with a larger radial velocity are distributed in the periphery; the large-mass particles are close to the axis,forming large-diameter non-agglomerated high-speed cluster particle flow,and are verified by X-ray imaging test results. The constitutive equation and SPH numerical simulation method based on the brittle material model can approximately simulate the jet forming. When the jet quality is uneven due to the quality of the liner,there is a certain gap between the simulation and the reality.
