Creating a Sense of Place in Virtual Architectural Heritage Environment

The influence and renovation of interpretation using digital technology is very profound which is not only reaction of the tool change. It needs not only the support of hardware and software technologies, but also the people oriented experience design in the virtual heritage environment. This paper introduced the concept of virtual heritage, analyzed the current situation on lack of the sense of place in virtual heritage environment. Place theory was applied into the research about interpretation and presentation, to explore the methods and strategies about how to create a sense of place in virtual heritage environment.
