论吕蓓卡形象的塑造艺术

摘    要:《吕蓓卡》对"我"的有限视点的选择,以及"我"与吕蓓卡之间时空错位关系的安排,无疑为表现女主人公吕蓓卡设置了障碍。杜穆里埃运用两种表现手法,即拼图式构像和转喻性显示,巧妙架通了叙述者与叙述对象之间的桥梁,成功传达了吕蓓卡的外在特征,再借以现实之光的投射,照亮了人物的内涵和本质,从内外两个维度刻画了女主人公的鲜活形象。独到的表现技巧不仅体现了作者的匠心,也为人物和作品带来了品之留香的艺术感染力。

Abstract:In Rebecca, the selection of the narrator "I", a very limited point of view and the arrangement of temporal and spatial barriers between Rebecca and 'T' combine to create extreme difficulties for characterizing the heroine. But by employing two bridging devices, i.e., jigsaw composition and metonymic manifestation, and by casting Rebecca in the light of reality, du Maurier artistically represents a lifelike personage from its full dimensions of external properties and internal depth and essence. The three remarkable techniques, which manifest the author's ingenuity, produce a source of lasting aesthetic charm in both the character and the novel.
