| Abstract: | The common causes of refinery heat exchanger failures were analyzed. The associated countermeasure were suggested in respect of corrosion protection, fabrication and service etc of the equipment and several issues which could be easily neglected were discussed. It was expected that they could serve as the guidelines for trouble free operation. |
