Reducing radiation loss of tilts in dielectric optical waveguides

It is proposed to reduce the radiation loss of an optical wave-guide tilt by increasing the refractive index on the inner side, or by decreasing it on the outer side of the tilt By microwave model experiments it is shown that the method proposed is effective.
