What''''s the Way Out?——Analysis on the Status Quo and Development of IPTV in China

This article firstly analyzes the five factors that blocked the development of IPTV in China, including the following aspects: the lack of user's cognition, the problems of standard and compatibility, the problem of mechanism (the conflict between industries), the insufficiency of QoS mechanism guarantee and the problem of network security. Then, it points out we have to find a development road for IPTV with Chinese characteristics. At last, it gives some suggestions on: the cooperation mode of mutual benefit, the role of government, the further exploration of rural market, the subdivision of service market, the adjustment according to local conditions and the cultivation of consumer market.
