Core Texts in the Context of Universities and Colleges： Plato＇s Phaedrus and Confucius Analects

This paper addresses four topics, including 1） the broad findings of patterns and changes in general education in USA in the last 25years, 2） the causes of these changes, 3） the cooperation of faculty in building core text programs in nine Central Asian Universities, and 4） what a core text is. The author takes Plato＇ s Phaedrus and Confucius＇ text is a world classic, or a text of major cultural think about and feel the depth and the foundation many disciplines, civilizations and eras. The ultimate Analects as two core texts and explain that a core significance which educates students everywhere to of those profound human concerns stretching across context for core texts is cooperation of teachers.
