| Abstract: | In this paper the research progress of rare earth element alloying in magnesium alloy is reviewed. The effects and influence of rare earth on the metal melt, microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of magnesium alloys are discussed. The problems of Mg- RE alloy in the present work are analyzed. It is considered that Mg- RE alloy is an important developing direction in research of magnesium alloys. |
