2007 is the first year in the initial operating phase of TGP and is the first year that the benefits of TGP are brought into all-round play.In the dry season,the reservoir is regulated to compensate the navigation discharge owing to the mid-lower reaches of the Yangtze River met with rare lowwater.In the flood season,flood control regutation was carried out under flood control instruction to protect the security of the mid-lower reaches of the Yangtze River.
