| Abstract: | The history of roughness theory and standard is simply described. The new requires about evaluating properties of precision machining surface to the roughness theory and parameters are analyzed. Some evaluating theories on surface profile, such as fractal, motif, special function parameters are discussed and the developing tendency of roughness theory is indicated. |
