依法治国，建设社会主义法治国家，已成为我国人民的奋斗目标。宪法作为根本法，是实现法治国家的根本的法律保障，法治入宪，是党的治国方略的宪法化，标志着我党治国方式的进步，法治，最根本的是宪法之治，宪法至上，提高宪法的最高的权威性，成为建设社会主义法治国家的核心。

Roles of the Constitution in Constructing a Socialist Legal State

It has been a goal for the Chinese people to govern the state by law and construct a socialist legal state. The constitution as a fundamental law, is the legal foundation for a legal state. It symbolizes the progress in the governing way of CCP. Governing the state by law is, most fundamentally, governing by the Constitution. With the constitution held uppermost, the supreme authority of the Constitution will be improved. Hence it has become the core in the conrstruction of a socialist legal state.
