Abstract: | Conclusions In the rolling friction of metals in fuel media, inorganic and organic products are formed on the surface. The inorganic products consist of oxides, sulfides, carbides, and other complex compounds; the functional composition of the organic products is characterized by the presence of groups pertaining to oxygen-containing heterocyclic compounds. The organic compounds formed on the frictional surface may acquire a crystalline structure.Translated from Khimiya i Tekhnologiya Topliv i Masel, No. 9, pp. 45–49, September, 1972. |
