Abstract:With the increasing proportion of clean energy power in China’s energy structure,the demand of power industry for power savings is increasingly urgent.On the other hand,with the rapid closure of a large number of mines and open pits with exhausted resources and backward production capacity,a large number of closed/abandoned mines are formed,and a large number of abandoned mining sites need to be treated.Pumping and energy storage technology in abandoned mine cavern is one of the methods to solve the above problems.In this paper,the multi-field coupling characteristics of Pumped Storage Power Station Based on abandoned mine are studied by numerical simulation and modeling experiment.The results show that 4-6 hours in the early stage of water storage is the time domain with large temperature gradient of surrounding rock.In this time domain,the large temperature gradient caused by the change of water temperature is about 400mm deep into the surrounding rock of the roadway;under the condition of the existence of thermal stress,there is a strong coupling between the thermal stress and the distribution of temperature field in the surrounding area of the roadway after water filling.There is stress concentration at the bottom corner of the roadway and at the vault.These areas are dangerous areas that need special attention to the strength of surrounding rock;under the combined stress coupling condition of loading water load,ground pressure load and thermal stress load at the same time,the thermal stress and internal water pressure of roadway water filling will have a greater coupling effect on the stress field of surrounding rock,which is quite different from that under the condition of uncoupled thermal stress.This coupling effect should be fully considered in the design of future abandoned roadway pumped storage power station.
