关于中国传统文化与现代化的思考

现代化是中国面临的当务之急，而走向现代化之路却令人颇费思量。本文通过对处于转折点的西方文明，以及近几十年崛起的日本和新加坡等亚洲国家的分析，认为中国传统文化对解决西方现代化进程中出现的弊端有一定的作用；对于中国传统文化，我们应本着弃旧扬新的态度，并结合时代的新特点，进行综合创新，不断超越，从而推进中国的现代化进程。

Thought on Traditional Chinese Culture and Modernization

Modernization is China's pressing task of the moment. However, The way to modernization calls for careful planning and thinking. Beginning with analyzing the western civilization at its turning point and the situation of such Asian countries as Japan and Singapore rising rapidly for the last few decades, the writer holds that tradi tional Chinese culture can have some effect on the correction of the faults during the modernization course of the west. It is therefore essential that for traditional Chinese culture, with the attitude of discarding what is out-of-date and developing what is new and featuring the new characteristics of the times, keep on innovation and marching forward to propel modernization progress in China.
