Test for two-dimensional scattering Hurwitz polynomials

Tests for the discrete scattering Hurwitz property of two-dimensional (2-D) polynomials are suggested. Results belonging to two different categories are presented. The first procedure uses a finite number of rational operations and relies on the so-called polynomial resultant algebra.
