| Abstract: | The present paper explicitly shows the importance of training students' transcultural communicative competence. It also discusses the two components of transcultural communicative competence: linguistic competence and pragmatic competence. The author explores some typical failures in transcultural communication and points out what we should do to avoid these failures in language teaching. |
