Study on Material Properties of Purple Pottery Clay in YiXing

Purple pottery clay are mainly concentrated in the south areas which widely distributed, however, the mineral in different area expressed different chemical composition and physical properties . This thesis aim to discuss the characteristic of purple pottery clay in Yixing compared with the purple sand clay in Fujian, Jiangxi and the same area for different kinds of purple pottery day which were analyzed by OM, X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, thermal analyses. Study on the characteristic of Zisha-mud in Yixing explore the different kinds of similarities and differences. Analysis results provide scientific basis for the study of purple pottery clay and Zisha pottery.
