摘    要:在考察802.11b标准MAC协议的基础上,提出了MAC芯片设计的构架,并在设计中加入低功耗考虑因素,其中特别就作为控制模块的状态机的低功耗设计方法进行了尝试。通过仿真和验证,可以看到,在充分考虑低功耗因素后,系统的整体功耗将会下降,最核心的控制模块经过改进,功耗下降了近一半。

Abstract:Based on the power-focus analysis of the MAC protocol of 802.11b standard,a system architecture for 802.11b MAC is presented and the low power concept is taken into consideration throughout the design.A low power structure for state machine operation as a control module is specifically proposed.By modifying the system with low power technology,a considerable drop on system power has been achieved,and simulation shows that the power consumption of the kernel control module has been reduced by 50%.
