For the traditional method of underground direct determining seam gas content,due to the limit of coring technology,the exposure time of samples is longer and affecting the accuracy of determination.The test of the method of determining coal seam gas content by drilling bits shows that this method can reduce the exposure time of samples and increase the accuracy of determining results.
