Abstract:When a short-circuit fault occurs in the power system,in order to prevent excessive short-circuit currents from being distributed to the distributed power generation supply,the fault current limiter(FCL)is installed to limit the sudden increase of the short-circuit currents.The installation of FCL mainly considers the installation location and parameter configuration.The typical simulation model is built by PSCAD/EMTDC,and the short-circuit current changes at different fault points are carried out with/without new energy,and the comparison shows that the new energy grid end has changed the most.That is,the FCL optimal installation position.According to the system model,the FCL parameter objective function is set,and the improved particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm is used to obtain the optimal value of the objective function,that is the FCL optimal parameter.Through the control variable method,three comparison schemes are designed in this paper to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the method.
