Determination of trace iron detection Limit in quartz glass by Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

Taking iron as example,two commonly used methods and the calculation basis are discussed to determine the method detection limit of trace elements in quartz glass by Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry,the blank selection and the calculation and representation of sample detection limit are discussed too.Within one month,at least 20 sample blanks are determined in five different time periods.The detection limit is real method detection limit and can be used as a daily analysis.The experimental results show that the method detection limit can be improved effectively by increasing the injection or using the new graphite tube.
