Abstract:The construction process of a large diameter rail-cum-road shield tunnel is complicated. To effectively share and manage the information generated,a GIS-based BIM model is established at the early stage of construction. The information of each component in the BIM model contains all the 3D geometric information and construction information of the component. A BIM intelligent command platform is developed to integrate the information generated in the whole construction life cycle through BIM model to guide project management. Based on the construction process of large-diameter rail-cum-road shield tunnel projects,BIM technology covers the whole life cycle of project management,including geological survey,preliminary design,design collision verification,technical disclosure,project progress visualization management,big data and information integration,safety and quality supervision and risk control,which provides good guidance for project management.
