一种基于移动自组织网络的视频点播系统

随着无线网络、计算机技术和多媒体技术的飞速发展,充分满足移动用户对多媒体交互信息的需求显得尤为迫切。这里介绍了一种基于移动自组织网络(MANET)的视频点播系统(VOD),给出了该系统的结构,详细分析了一种在交错广播(SB)基础上改进的能够适用于该系统的主/从信道交错广播(RSB)技术,对该系统分别使用RSB和SB技术进行仿真,对比了两者在减少服务器带宽和缩短服务延时方面的优劣,并指出了其发展前景。

A Video-on-Demand System Based on Mobile Ad hoc Network

With the rapid development of wireless network, computer and multimedia technology, it is crucial to meet the mobile users' requirements for interactive multimedia information. A Video - on - Demand System based on Mobile Ad hoc Network is presented in this paper. A typical Mobile VOD system architecture is illustrated and Regular/Sub - channel staggered broadcasting (RSB) based on Staggered Broadcasting ( SB) which is applied to the system is analyzed in detail. Then several simulations on the system are made with RSB and SB, with a comparison of their performances in minimizing server bandwidth requirement and reducing serv-ice latency. The perspective development of the system is pointed out at the end of this paper.
