The application and improvements of the equipment for reutilizing the coal tar residue in Cokemaking Department of Bayuquan Branch of Angang Steel Co., Ltd. were introduced in detail, including the technological process of the equipment for reutilizing the coal tar residue and the troubles occurred in the operation of the equipment. The effect of the viscosity of coal tar residue on mixing of coal tar residue and blending coal was also analyzed. At last the four countermeasures were proposed, and as a result the reutilization rate of coal tar residue reached to 100%,and the zero emission of coal tar residue was achieved.
