ADVANCE IN RESEARCHES OF CALCIUM CARBONATE FIILED POLYMER COMPOSITES |

| Abstract: | A review of the recent progress in the researches of calcium carbonate filled polymer composites is presented. Methods of surface modification of calcium carbonate and the effects of particulate size, concentration, interfacial adhesion and matrix ductility on mechanical properties of its composites are discussed with particular emphasis on the toughening mechanism involved. |
