| Abstract: | A PASCAL validation office is presented as a key element in the development of portable software. A number of software portability issues are briefly surveyed as well as problems involved by the definition of programming language standards. The validation office is used for both the technical aspects of compiler testing and the organization aspects of validation procedures. |
