As is custom, Dr. Pressey received a gold medal and a scroll with this citation: "To Sidney L. Pressey--ground breaker in psychology; man of capacious mind, inventive spirit, humane concern, and rare good humor; investigator and interpreter of the human life span whose own life has greatly enriched the field of psychology and the lives of his students."
