Stigmatically focusing grating coupler |

| Abstract: | A grating coupler that couples out a spherical wave (stigmatic beam) from a planar optical waveguide is experimentally demonstrated. This kind of grating coupler is formed ho-lographically using two cylindrical waves with mutually perpendicular focal lines. |
