美国历史建筑和遗址的保护

本文着重介绍近20余年来美国在历史建筑和基址保护方面的发展概况。保护对象已不限于那些上层高雅的大型古老的建筑,一些有历史价值的民间乡土建筑也列入被保护的范围,而且不仅要保护建筑本身,还要保护建筑所在的地区、以及其人文环境和自然环境。保护工作已深入到群众之中,形成了政府机构与民间组织共同开展保护工作的局面。文章还介绍了美国联邦政府和州政府关于保护历史建筑和基址的规定和条例。

Conservation of Architecturally and Historical Significant Building and Sites

This lecture is the first of four lectures given by Dr Albert. It introduces what has happened in the field of historic preservation in the U. S. in the last few decades. What should be preserved covers not only those upper-class, urbane and permanent artifacts, but also a number of vernacular and folk buildings, and what is more, to preserve not only the historic buildings themselves, but the built and natural environments.The lecture includes 1) the changing American attitudes of architectural conservation and 2) the governmental goals and definitions for architectural conser-vation.
