Preparation and structure of nanostructured Ti–Ni–O with modified low temperature sol–gel route

Abstract:A series of nanoscaled Ti–Ni–O samples doped with different TiO2 content are prepared by modified low temperature sol–gel route at 400 °C. BET data reveals that the content of dopant TiO2 influences the grain size. XRD analysis indicates that the lattice parameter of particles increased with the TiO2 content. XPS results show that the surface state of nickel and titanium ion changed. Both of the latter two results suggest that there is an interaction takes place between TiO2 and NiO.
