Abstract: | The fungicidal active compound Furmecyclox (2,5-Dimethyl-N-cyclohexyl-N-methoxy-3-furancarbonamidic acid) is variously used in new-developed wood preservatives. Under practical conditions it should be found wether such wood preservatives or treated timbers cause any pollution of the air in rooms. It could be shown by tests that the concentration of Furmecyclox in the air drops down to 0,1 μg/m3 already after a few days, a value which is below the measurable limit. These results are practically independent of the kind of formulation. |
