According to the analysises of hammer crusher's principle and forms which hammers fail to work, it draws the conclusion that the main form of hammers fail to work is scouring abrasion. Aimming at this situation, it introduces applying hammers of alloy steel with high carbon and manganese content and low alloy steel and composite hammers. In addition, it also considers the effects of parameters and space in a crusher,and block of feeded material on hammers' life,and so on.
